Skin Tag Removal

What is Skin Tag? Skin tags are small brown or flesh-coloured growths (usually a few millimeters to 5cm in size) that hang from the surface of your skin. They are made of loose collagen fibres and blood vessels surrounded by skin, and can look like warts or raised bumps. Although skin tags are common they are completely harmless, and they do not usually cause any pain or discomfort. However, they can snag on clothing or jewellery and bleed as a result, and can also lower your self esteem. Treatment in Elite Medical Center is carried out under a local anaesthetic and is therefore painless. The skin tag is carefully cut away using a laser and will be completely removed, leaving only a small white or pink scar in its place.

How we get Skin Tags?

Some people are more prone to develop Skin Tags than others, simply due to genetics. They can, however, be caused by frequent rubbing against the skin. Jewellery is the major culprit here. They begin as nothing more than a small area of loose skin which can grow bigger unless treated early, with their shape and size varying considerably from one Skin Tag to the next.

What to expect during your Skin Tag Removal treatment

Your Advanced Electrolysis Clinic Practitioner will use electrolysis to remove Skin Tags. This is a simple, highly effective process during which a slender needle is used to cauterise the Skin Tag. The blemish disappears almost immediately and your skin will return to its normal appearance extremely quickly.
Our clients tell us that they experience nothing more than slight discomfort during this process. You’ll probably notice small scabs or some dry red marks following your treatment. These will be small in size and won’t persist for more than 7 to 10 days. You will be left with no scarring – and, of course, there will be no sign that the Skin Tags were ever there to begin with.

Benefits of Laser Hair Removal

01. Safe and effective technology

Our Laser Therapists are experienced in operating the market-leading technology, the world’s most efficient hair reduction system. The Thunder and Splender x is designed to work for clients with dark hair and any skin tone.

02. Permanent hair reduction

Unlike other hair removal options, our medical-grade Hair Removal means fast, safe, cost-effective, reliable, and permanent hair reduction.

03. Reduce ingrown hairs

Laser works by directing concentrated light to target the hair follicle at the root. The laser inhibits the hair’s ability to grow without disrupting or damaging the skin’s surface, so even the most sensitive skin can be treated.

04. Convenient & cost effective

We have the most affordable Laser Hair Removal prices and will match any competitor’s price.

What to Expect During Laser Hair Removal

Just before the procedure, your hair that will be undergoing treatment will be trimmed to a few millimeters above the skin surface. Usually topical numbing medicine is applied 20- 30 minutes before the laser procedure, to help with the sting of the laser pulses. The laser equipment will be adjusted according to the color, thickness, and location of your hair being treated as well as your skin color.

Recovery & Risk

For a day or two afterward, the treated area of your skin will look and feel like it’s sunburned. Cool compresses and moisturizers may help. If your face was treated, you can wear makeup the next day unless your skin is blistering. Over the next month, your treated hair will fall out. Wear sunscreen for the following month to help prevent temporary changes in the color of the treated skin. Blisters are rare but are more likely in people with darker complexions. Other potential side effects are swelling, redness, and scarring. Permanent scarring or changes in skin color are rare.
